Terms and conditions of Enrolment

  1. Refunds:
  • Enrolments may be refunded up to seven (7) days before the course start date. A 10% administration fee of the full course cost will apply.
  • After this period, no refunds will be issued, for any reason.
  • Group courses are not redeemable for private lessons.
  1. Bookings and payments:
  • Full payment must be received before the course start date to confirm a booking. Any booking not fully paid will be considered unconfirmed.
  • If you wish to pay in installments, we offer Afterpay as a payment option.
  1. Group classes length and cancellations
  • A minimum of four (4) students is required to run a standard 10-week group course.
  • If a group has only three (3) students, the course will run for eight (8) weeks instead of ten (10). The course content will remain the same.
  • Classes with less than 3 students will be cancelled and fully refunded.
  1. Course deferments
  • Deferments may be offered in exceptional circumstances only during the first week of a course. No deferments will be accepted after this period, for any reason.
  • Deferments can only be applied to the next immediate term, and can only be offered if there is a similar course with available space in that term.
  1. Levels
  • We aim to place you in the most suitable level. However, we understand that for students with mixed learning experiences, finding the right level can take time. Level changes are possible within the first week of the course  you have enrolled in. Please contact us to discuss your options.
  • All changes are subject to availability.
  • For a level assessment please complete the following Level Assessment Test or contact us.
  1. Payment options
  • Credit Card: through our website or in person at our office.
  • Cash: at our office 2/29b South Caroline S, South Yarra 3141, VIC
  • Bank transfer: must be completed within 48 hours of enrolling in the course, unpaid bookings will be automatically canceled after this period.
  1. Missed classes
  • All classes are logged online, giving you access to class content and additional materials to catch up.
  • If you miss a class, you are welcome to attend another group class of the same level, within the same week (subject to availability, please contact us before attending a make-up class).
  • Make up classes are only available during the period of enrolment (course duration).
  • Missed classes are not refundable.
  1. Private lessons
  • Lesson times are confirmed upon enrolment for the duration of the booking, and cannot be changed due to missed sessions, a change of mind, or personal circumstances.
  • A session can be cancelled by the student with at least 24 hours’ notice. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be forfeited.
  • You may cancel a maximum of: 2 sessions per block of 10 hours, 1 session per block of 5 hours, 1 session for individual bookings.
  • All bookings must be completed within 6 months of purchase. Any unused lessons after this period will be forfeited.
  • Missed classes are not refunded.
  • Bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Farolito Spanish will notify you in advance of any changes to your scheduled booking (e.g. if your teacher is unavailable due to illness and no replacement is available).
  1. Gift vouchers
  • Gift vouchers are valid for the period stated in the voucher (12 months from purchase date). Enrolment must be made for courses starting within that period.
  • Gift vouchers are not redeemable for cash.

Farolito Spanish reserves the right to refuse service to any student whose behavior disrupts or endangers the learning environment of our classes, or the wellbeing of our teachers.
