Living rural having Farolito continue to provide online Spanish courses has been one of the few good changes that have come from the COVID-19 pandemic, and I'm so grateful to the team. I've had a number of different Spanish teachers over my many years of trying to learn Spanish and Jan is easily up there with the best. Having a background in linguistics his knowledge of languages is amazing but most of all he makes learning Spanish fun. I can't wait to continue my learning Spanish with Farolito.

Jan is an incredible teacher! I started from a complete beginner level and did the 2 week summer intensive program, and I can already have a conversation in Spanish! I'm so excited to start my weekly classes in feb 🙂 100% recommend!

Really great and passionate teacher! He teaches us not only Spanish, but the difference between accents from each region, cultural norms in Spain and Latin America, and a lot more valuable insights. The classes are fun and the students are friendly too.

I have been with Farolito Spanish school for one term and I recommend this school for anyone trying to learn Spanish. The course is structured clearly and the text book they use is very helpful (across several levels). My groups teacher, Sara, is very friendly and makes you feel comfortable!

For me it’s been great learning Spanish with Farolito. The teachers are so energetic and fun, and are very keen for you to learn. And my classes have always been small which is very helpful. I’ll sign up again soon when the borders to the Spanish-speaking world open!

Farolito is fantastic. Small classes with teachers who are really well prepared and keep learning interesting. My Spanish is really improving and I look forward to classes each week with a great group of people. If you want to learn Spanish this is the place.

I’ve loved completing level 1 Spanish at Farolito. The classes are small and interactive. Jan is a great teacher, very knowledgeable in language and also we learn a lot about the difference of language in each Spanish speaking country. I’m looking forward to starting level 2 at Farolito.

I am now in my second term at Farolito and I couldn't recommend it more! The classes are small which keeps the classes personal and engaging. The teachers are lovely and knowledgeable. I've been learning with Faralito now since January and I would highly recommend this school to anyone wanting to learn Spanish. I personally love the face to face classroom learning and the location is very convenient next to South Yarra station. I have completed an intensive 2 week Beginner 2 course and am now in Beginner 3. I will definitely move to the next course and keep learning with Faralito. I really like the small group class format and the teachers are very supportive and creative with their learning techniques as you move through the units in the Aula textbook. So far I've had lessons with Samuel and Hector. Sam is an outstanding teacher who loves grammar and is very skilled at explaining difficult grammar concepts. Hector is very attentive and has set up a WhatsApp group for the class to help with homework and he is responsive out of hours for assistance which is really very helpful. The real effort of course is required by me! As good as the teachers are they can't do it for me and l also have to find other ways to learn and more time to study but Faralito is a great foundation and motivation for me.

Farolito has been incredible - Jan is an incredibly patient teacher, I couldn't recommend him more. The small classes make you feel comfortable and create such a trusting environment to learn a language. Give Farolito a try!

I couldn't recommend Farolito highly enough. Jan is a fantastic teacher - he is very patient, approachable and engaging. The group classes have a diverse range of activities and the small class size allows for lots of interaction and engagement with Jan and other students.

Learning Spanish at Farolita is fun, challenging and professional.. Plus, Samuel, the teacher in my class teaches Spanish in Spanish! The best way!

I have just loved learning Spanish with Farolito so far. Jan is such an incredibly good teacher – engaging, interesting and great at explaining things. Farolito is an amazing school where the teacher make it so much fun to learn! Because of the small size of the group, we can have plenty of practice speaking and it makes it easy for interaction. If you are thinking about learning Spanish, I highly recommend it!

I would highly recommend Farolito for anyone interested or even curious in learning Spanish! I have thoroughly loved attending classes with Jan. The classes are engaging, fun and creative! Even in the first few beginners classes, we were having small conversations in Spanish.

My Tuesday evening face to face Spanish classes are always the highlight of my week! The small class of seven other students is a great environment to learn a new language as I feel comfortable speaking to my classmates one on one and in front of the whole class. Jan is a fantastic teacher who uses his linguistics background to paint a complete picture of the Spanish language from the origins of words to the structure of the sounds. I am already keen to re-enrol for Term 2 to further build upon the basics and essentials covered in Term 1. ¡Muchas gracias Jan y Farolito!

Farolito Spanish offers engaging and fun classes for all Spanish levels! The teachers are exceptional, creating varied classwork and homework every week. The varied coursework ensures you develop reading, writing, speaking and listening skills in parallel. The class groups have always been incredibly welcoming and encouraging! I am looking forward to seeing everyone back in the classroom at some point, however, the transition to the online format has been exceptionally smooth! ¡Gracias Jan and Farolito!

Ive been studying with Farolito for the past year and it has been wonderful, I love the flexibility of being able to learn with online classes and the teachers are so friendly and easy to communicate with, the groups are small and not intimidating and the teachers are so knowledgeable yet they make the learning fun and engaging. No matter your age or experience in Spanish, I highly recommend studying with farolito!
