Great school. The teachers are open to your needs and very responsive, helping you to get exactly what you're targeting with your Spanish. Class sizes are small and nobody gets left behind. There are also several options for study from intensives to weekly classes to private. Farolito fosters a friendly and fun Spanish speaking community.

Fun and easy to follow lessons, provided great resources and really enjoyed the online content! Learning from home was great as it gave me the chance to start my goal of learning Spanish while juggling work and family commitments. Big thanks to Mia!

Farolito Spanish offers engaging and fun classes for all Spanish levels! The teachers are exceptional, creating varied classwork and homework every week. The varied coursework ensures you develop reading, writing, speaking and listening skills in parallel. The class groups have always been incredibly welcoming and encouraging! I am looking forward to seeing everyone back in the classroom at some point, however, the transition to the online format has been exceptionally smooth! ¡Gracias Jan and Farolito!

I couldn’t be happier with the classes I have taken at Farolito. It’s accessible, informative and lots of fun. I love the way the culture of Spain and Latin America is a part of every class, it keeps me engaged and wanting to continue learning. I had Sarah for beginner 1 & 2 and I loved her passion and energy and now have Jan for beginner 3 who has taken things to the next level. Really loving the class. For anyone interested in learning Spanish I highly recommend this school.

Ive been studying with Farolito for the past year and it has been wonderful, I love the flexibility of being able to learn with online classes and the teachers are so friendly and easy to communicate with, the groups are small and not intimidating and the teachers are so knowledgeable yet they make the learning fun and engaging. Farolito is an amazing school where the teacher make it so much fun to learn! Because of the small size of the group, we can have plenty of practice speaking and it makes it easy for interaction. If you are thinking about learning Spanish, I highly recommend it!

I have just loved learning Spanish with Farolito so far. Jan is such an incredibly good teacher – engaging, interesting and great at explaining things. Apart from picking up Spanish way faster than I ever expected I could, I've also enjoyed the 'new creative outlet' outside my 9-5, and meeting new people in my class. Jan is am enthusiastic educator and his passion for teaching Spanish is evident. The classes are interesting, intellectually stimulating and most importantly we have a lot of fun.

My daughter, Skye, has been taking the Beginners 1 class this past term and has thoroughly enjoyed it. Jan is an excellent teacher and he has helped her feel welcome and comfortable as the youngest student in the class. We will be continuing!

I have done 3 terms so far, and loving it. Jan makes the classroom so open and really helps you get confident to speak. The classes are small groups so you get a lot of time with the teacher and also practicing with classmates.

I have been with Farolito Spanish school for one term and I recommend this school for anyone trying to learn Spanish. The course is structured clearly and the text book they use is very helpful (across several levels). My groups teacher, Sara, is very friendly and makes you feel comfortable!

Living rural having Farolito continue to provide online Spanish courses has been one of the few good changes that have come from the COVID-19 pandemic, and I'm so grateful to the team. I've had a number of different Spanish teachers over my many years of trying to learn Spanish and Jan is easily up there with the best. Having a background in linguistics his knowledge of languages is amazing but most of all he makes learning Spanish fun. I can't wait to continue my learning Spanish with Farolito.

Farolito has excellent Spanish classes. The classes are taught in a structured way with a relaxed atmosphere. I don't feel like i'm missing out on anything by doing the online courses which suit me well as I live far from the city! Jan is a great teacher and I would highly recommend trying out Farolito 🙂

I couldn't recommend Farolito highly enough. Jan is a fantastic teacher - he is very patient, approachable and engaging. The group classes have a diverse range of activities and the small class size allows for lots of interaction and engagement with Jan and other students.

I'm so glad I chose Farolito to learn Spanish. Jan is a wonderful teacher. He's kind, patient, funny and won't laugh at you when you can't roll your 'R's. Mirvic is warm, welcoming and so helpful! Together they make the school a really lovely place to learn. If you want to learn Spanish, this is your place! Don't be afraid to try it, even if your starting from scratch (like me).
