For me it’s been great learning Spanish with Farolito. The teachers are so energetic and fun, and are very keen for you to learn. And my classes have always been small which is very helpful. I’ll sign up again soon when the borders to the Spanish-speaking world open!

Apart from picking up Spanish way faster than I ever expected I could, I've also enjoyed the 'new creative outlet' outside my 9-5, and meeting new people in my class. Great school. The teachers are open to your needs and very responsive, helping you to get exactly what you're targeting with your Spanish. Class sizes are small and nobody gets left behind. There are also several options for study from intensives to weekly classes to private. Farolito fosters a friendly and fun Spanish speaking community.

I’ve loved completing level 1 Spanish at Farolito. The classes are small and interactive. Jan is a great teacher, very knowledgeable in language and also we learn a lot about the difference of language in each Spanish speaking country. I’m looking forward to starting level 2 at Farolito.

I'm so glad I chose Farolito to learn Spanish. Jan is a wonderful teacher. He's kind, patient, funny and won't laugh at you when you can't roll your 'R's. Mirvic is warm, welcoming and so helpful! Together they make the school a really lovely place to learn. If you want to learn Spanish, this is your place! Don't be afraid to try it, even if your starting from scratch (like me). I have thoroughly enjoyed my first term at Farolito Spanish school. There’s a lot of class participation to practice speaking and listening with the teacher and other students, which is what I wanted out of the classes. Jan is a very patient and knowledgeable teacher, he always has tips and tricks on how to pronounce and remember words, they have been super helpful. Me and my 3 amigos signed up to get our Spanish up to scratch before a trip to south America. We managed to squeeze in three terms, which have been absolutely brilliant. Both Jan, the owner and Zoe, our teacher really cared about our development and were both really good teachers. We could not have asked for more! Living rural having Farolito continue to provide online Spanish courses has been one of the few good changes that have come from the COVID-19 pandemic, and I'm so grateful to the team. I've had a number of different Spanish teachers over my many years of trying to learn Spanish and Jan is easily up there with the best. Having a background in linguistics his knowledge of languages is amazing but most of all he makes learning Spanish fun. I can't wait to continue my learning Spanish with Farolito.

Jan is a great teacher and very knowledgeable and passionate about all things pertaining to languages & culture (not just Spanish). He is always willing to help and has a great positive attitude, I recommend his courses to anybody who wants to learn Spanish.

My daughter, Skye, has been taking the Beginners 1 class this past term and has thoroughly enjoyed it. Jan is an excellent teacher and he has helped her feel welcome and comfortable as the youngest student in the class. We will be continuing!

Farolito Spanish offers engaging and fun classes for all Spanish levels! The teachers are exceptional, creating varied classwork and homework every week. The varied coursework ensures you develop reading, writing, speaking and listening skills in parallel. The class groups have always been incredibly welcoming and encouraging! I am looking forward to seeing everyone back in the classroom at some point, however, the transition to the online format has been exceptionally smooth! ¡Gracias Jan and Farolito!

I have done 3 terms so far, and loving it. Jan makes the classroom so open and really helps you get confident to speak. The classes are small groups so you get a lot of time with the teacher and also practicing with classmates.

Farolito language school is a fantastic environment to learn spanish. The teachers are highly skilled language teachers, helpful and know how to make learning spanish fun. I've been learning for a number of years and am looking forward to now being able to travel to spanish speaking countries and speak with the locals.
