Starting to learn Spanish at Farolito has been a great experience. The classes are always engaging and interactive (regardless of whether they are online or in-person). Jan's knowledge of languages generally really stands out, and his approach to teaching beginners is first class.

I have been with Farolito Spanish school for one term and I recommend this school for anyone trying to learn Spanish. The course is structured clearly and the text book they use is very helpful (across several levels). My groups teacher, Sara, is very friendly and makes you feel comfortable!

I’m currently more than half way through Beginners 1 with Farolito, and I’m thoroughly enjoying the weekly sessions. Jan is a highly experienced and patient teacher, and our classes have provided a supportive environment for each of us to develop our understanding and use of the Spanish language. I love how practical each of the lessons have been so far and the accumulated knowledge I’ve gained. Looking forward to progressing even further with Farolito!

Farolito Spanish offers engaging and fun classes for all Spanish levels! The teachers are exceptional, creating varied classwork and homework every week. The varied coursework ensures you develop reading, writing, speaking and listening skills in parallel. The class groups have always been incredibly welcoming and encouraging! I am looking forward to seeing everyone back in the classroom at some point, however, the transition to the online format has been exceptionally smooth! ¡Gracias Jan and Farolito!

I had been using Apps to learn Spanish online and I realized my Spanish cannot be improved by just studying online as I have no one to practice with and no interactions. Then, I found Farolito, the classes are fun and easy to follow, great teachers here. Contents in the class are just good to follow, which can keep up my interest in Spanish.

I am loving Farolito Spanish school. I have completed beginners 1, 2, and 3 and am signing up now for beg 4. It helps so much to practice my Spanish in front of other students and try to have conversations with them. It pushes me out of my comfort zone but that is essential for me to gain confidence. My Tuesday evening face to face Spanish classes are always the highlight of my week! The small class of seven other students is a great environment to learn a new language as I feel comfortable speaking to my classmates one on one and in front of the whole class. Jan is a fantastic teacher who uses his linguistics background to paint a complete picture of the Spanish language from the origins of words to the structure of the sounds. I am already keen to re-enrol for Term 2 to further build upon the basics and essentials covered in Term 1. ¡Muchas gracias Jan y Farolito!

Confidence in my conversational Spanish really grew after attending Farolito Spanish. It’s such a great environment with small class sizes and the teacher. Really enjoyed the weekly classes as it motivates you to study before the class and keeps you accountable. Highly recommend!!
