Fantastic classes with focus on speaking Spanish, grammar and vocabulary. Jan is an excellent teacher, and Faralito has a friendly and supportive learning environment. I’ll be back for term 2!

Farolito is fantastic. Small classes with teachers who are really well prepared and keep learning interesting. My Spanish is really improving and I look forward to classes each week with a great group of people. If you want to learn Spanish this is the place.

Great school. The teachers are open to your needs and very responsive, helping you to get exactly what you're targeting with your Spanish. Class sizes are small and nobody gets left behind. Living rural having Farolito continue to provide online Spanish courses has been one of the few good changes that have come from the COVID-19 pandemic, and I'm so grateful to the team. I've had a number of different Spanish teachers over my many years of trying to learn Spanish and Jan is easily up there with the best. Having a background in linguistics his knowledge of languages is amazing but most of all he makes learning Spanish fun. I can't wait to continue my learning Spanish with Farolito.

I’m currently more than half way through Beginners 1 with Farolito, and I’m thoroughly enjoying the weekly sessions. Jan is a highly experienced and patient teacher, and our classes have provided a supportive environment for each of us to develop our understanding and use of the Spanish language. I love how practical each of the lessons have been so far and the accumulated knowledge I’ve gained. Looking forward to progressing even further with Farolito!

Jan is am enthusiastic educator and his passion for teaching Spanish is evident. The classes are interesting, intellectually stimulating and most importantly we have a lot of fun.

I've been learning with Faralito now since January and I would highly recommend this school to anyone wanting to learn Spanish. I personally love the face to face classroom learning and the location is very convenient next to South Yarra station. I have completed an intensive 2 week Beginner 2 course and am now in Beginner 3. I will definitely move to the next course and keep learning with Faralito. I really like the small group class format and the teachers are very supportive and creative with their learning techniques as you move through the units in the Aula textbook. So far I've had lessons with Samuel and Hector. Sam is an outstanding teacher who loves grammar and is very skilled at explaining difficult grammar concepts. Hector is very attentive and has set up a WhatsApp group for the class to help with homework and he is responsive out of hours for assistance which is really very helpful. The real effort of course is required by me! As good as the teachers are they can't do it for me and l also have to find other ways to learn and more time to study but Faralito is a great foundation and motivation for me.

Farolito is a fantastic space to start or continue learning Spanish. Jan is a great teacher - really passionate about the work and always manages to make the classes fun and engaging.

I love my weekly Spanish classes at Farolito! The small classes are great and I feel much more confident speaking than before I started. Highly recommend signing up for some classes if you need the push to take your Spanish to the next level 🙂

I couldn’t be happier with the classes I have taken at Farolito. It’s accessible, informative and lots of fun. I love the way the culture of Spain and Latin America is a part of every class, it keeps me engaged and wanting to continue learning. I had Sarah for beginner 1 & 2 and I loved her passion and energy and now have Jan for beginner 3 who has taken things to the next level. Really loving the class. For anyone interested in learning Spanish I highly recommend this school.

I had been using Apps to learn Spanish online and I realized my Spanish cannot be improved by just studying online as I have no one to practice with and no interactions. Then, I found Farolito, the classes are fun and easy to follow, great teachers here. Contents in the class are just good to follow, which can keep up my interest in Spanish.

Me and my 3 amigos signed up to get our Spanish up to scratch before a trip to south America. We managed to squeeze in three terms, which have been absolutely brilliant. Both Jan, the owner and Zoe, our teacher really cared about our development and were both really good teachers. We could not have asked for more! Would recommend to anyone and everyone interested in starting to learn this beautiful language 🙂

I'm very happy with my choice of school. Teachers are super friendly and you always feel welcome. I was a bit scared to start leaning because English is not my first language but it's actually very comfortable and cosy in classes, small groups, teacher has time for everyone. So if you doubt, don't. Studying goes with small steps, not too much homework. Always happy to come to class.

My daughter, Skye, has been taking the Beginners 1 class this past term and has thoroughly enjoyed it. Jan is an excellent teacher and he has helped her feel welcome and comfortable as the youngest student in the class. We will be continuing!

Farolito has excellent Spanish classes. The classes are taught in a structured way with a relaxed atmosphere. I don't feel like i'm missing out on anything by doing the online courses which suit me well as I live far from the city! Jan is a great teacher and I would highly recommend trying out Farolito 🙂

Farolito is an amazing school where the teacher make it so much fun to learn! Because of the small size of the group, we can have plenty of practice speaking and it makes it easy for interaction. If you are thinking about learning Spanish, I highly recommend it!

Ive been studying with Farolito for the past year and it has been wonderful, I love the flexibility of being able to learn with online classes and the teachers are so friendly and easy to communicate with, the groups are small and not intimidating and the teachers are so knowledgeable yet they make the learning fun and engaging. Lovely little Spanish school in South Yarra, great sized classes. Welcoming, fun and relaxed vibe. Tried other Spanish classes in the city and prefer this school by far. Would recommend!
