I’m currently in my second term at Farolito and I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to learn Spanish. The teachers are welcoming, positive and friendly, and classes are always engaging and fun. If you are thinking of learning Spanish, and are hesitant, give Farolito a try, you won’t regret it!

Lovely little Spanish school in South Yarra, great sized classes. Welcoming, fun and relaxed vibe. Tried other Spanish classes in the city and prefer this school by far. Would recommend!

Farolito has given me an excellent start to developing my spanish skills. Each course is well thought out and lessons are engaging and interactive. Their swift movement to online teaching was fantastic as well. Jan's extensive knowledge of language makes him an excellent teacher and his passion for teaching is always evident. Farolito has excellent Spanish classes. The classes are taught in a structured way with a relaxed atmosphere. I don't feel like i'm missing out on anything by doing the online courses which suit me well as I live far from the city! Jan is a great teacher and I would highly recommend trying out Farolito 🙂

The beginner classes with Jan have been great. Group size is small so it's quite personal. Jan is approachable and professional. Farolito language school is a fantastic environment to learn spanish. The teachers are highly skilled language teachers, helpful and know how to make learning spanish fun. I've been learning for a number of years and am looking forward to now being able to travel to spanish speaking countries and speak with the locals. I’ve loved completing level 1 Spanish at Farolito. The classes are small and interactive. Jan is a great teacher, very knowledgeable in language and also we learn a lot about the difference of language in each Spanish speaking country. I’m looking forward to starting level 2 at Farolito.

I have been with Farolito Spanish school for one term and I recommend this school for anyone trying to learn Spanish. The course is structured clearly and the text book they use is very helpful (across several levels). My groups teacher, Sara, is very friendly and makes you feel comfortable!

Farolito Spanish offers engaging and fun classes for all Spanish levels! The teachers are exceptional, creating varied classwork and homework every week. The varied coursework ensures you develop reading, writing, speaking and listening skills in parallel. The class groups have always been incredibly welcoming and encouraging! I am looking forward to seeing everyone back in the classroom at some point, however, the transition to the online format has been exceptionally smooth! ¡Gracias Jan and Farolito!

The beginners class has been terrific. It has been interesting, challenging and fun. Our teacher Hector is a very capable, dedicated teacher. I am learning so much and will definitely continue with Farolita!

My Tuesday evening face to face Spanish classes are always the highlight of my week! The small class of seven other students is a great environment to learn a new language as I feel comfortable speaking to my classmates one on one and in front of the whole class. Jan is a fantastic teacher who uses his linguistics background to paint a complete picture of the Spanish language from the origins of words to the structure of the sounds. I am already keen to re-enrol for Term 2 to further build upon the basics and essentials covered in Term 1. ¡Muchas gracias Jan y Farolito!

I have done 3 terms so far, and loving it. Jan makes the classroom so open and really helps you get confident to speak. The classes are small groups so you get a lot of time with the teacher and also practicing with classmates.

I'm so glad I chose Farolito to learn Spanish. Jan is a wonderful teacher. He's kind, patient, funny and won't laugh at you when you can't roll your 'R's. Mirvic is warm, welcoming and so helpful! Together they make the school a really lovely place to learn. If you want to learn Spanish, this is your place! Don't be afraid to try it, even if your starting from scratch (like me). You won't regret it.

Farolito is fantastic. Small classes with teachers who are really well prepared and keep learning interesting. My Spanish is really improving and I look forward to classes each week with a great group of people. If you want to learn Spanish this is the place.

I've been learning with Faralito now since January and I would highly recommend this school to anyone wanting to learn Spanish. I personally love the face to face classroom learning and the location is very convenient next to South Yarra station. I have completed an intensive 2 week Beginner 2 course and am now in Beginner 3. I will definitely move to the next course and keep learning with Faralito. I really like the small group class format and the teachers are very supportive and creative with their learning techniques as you move through the units in the Aula textbook. So far I've had lessons with Samuel and Hector. Sam is an outstanding teacher who loves grammar and is very skilled at explaining difficult grammar concepts. Hector is very attentive and has set up a WhatsApp group for the class to help with homework and he is responsive out of hours for assistance which is really very helpful. The real effort of course is required by me! As good as the teachers are they can't do it for me and l also have to find other ways to learn and more time to study but Faralito is a great foundation and motivation for me.

Absolutely love Farolito! Great school, great teachers and small intimate classes, what more could you want to learn Spanish?! Looking forward to continuing my studies here 🙂

I couldn’t be happier with the classes I have taken at Farolito. It’s accessible, informative and lots of fun. I love the way the culture of Spain and Latin America is a part of every class, it keeps me engaged and wanting to continue learning. I had Sarah for beginner 1 & 2 and I loved her passion and energy and now have Jan for beginner 3 who has taken things to the next level. Really loving the class. For anyone interested in learning Spanish I highly recommend this school.
