I’m currently in my second term at Farolito and I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to learn Spanish. The teachers are welcoming, positive and friendly, and classes are always engaging and fun. If you are thinking of learning Spanish, and are hesitant, give Farolito a try, you won’t regret it!

Confidence in my conversational Spanish really grew after attending Farolito Spanish. It’s such a great environment with small class sizes and the teacher. Really enjoyed the weekly classes as it motivates you to study before the class and keeps you accountable. Highly recommend!!

I’m currently more than half way through Beginners 1 with Farolito, and I’m thoroughly enjoying the weekly sessions. Jan is a highly experienced and patient teacher, and our classes have provided a supportive environment for each of us to develop our understanding and use of the Spanish language. I love how practical each of the lessons have been so far and the accumulated knowledge I’ve gained. Looking forward to progressing even further with Farolito!

Farolito is fantastic. Small classes with teachers who are really well prepared and keep learning interesting. My Spanish is really improving and I look forward to classes each week with a great group of people. If you want to learn Spanish this is the place.

Jan is an incredible teacher! I started from a complete beginner level and did the 2 week summer intensive program, and I can already have a conversation in Spanish! I'm so excited to start my weekly classes in feb 🙂 100% recommend!

Ive been studying with Farolito for the past year and it has been wonderful, I love the flexibility of being able to learn with online classes and the teachers are so friendly and easy to communicate with, the groups are small and not intimidating and the teachers are so knowledgeable yet they make the learning fun and engaging. I love the way the culture of Spain and Latin America is a part of every class, it keeps me engaged and wanting to continue learning. I had Sarah for beginner 1 & 2 and I loved her passion and energy and now have Jan for beginner 3 who has taken things to the next level. Really loving the class. Great school. The teachers are open to your needs and very responsive, helping you to get exactly what you're targeting with your Spanish. Class sizes are small and nobody gets left behind. There are also several options for study from intensives to weekly classes to private. Farolito fosters a friendly and fun Spanish speaking community.

Farolito is an amazing school where the teacher make it so much fun to learn! Because of the small size of the group, we can have plenty of practice speaking and it makes it easy for interaction. If you are thinking about learning Spanish, I highly recommend it!

Me and my 3 amigos signed up to get our Spanish up to scratch before a trip to south America. We managed to squeeze in three terms, which have been absolutely brilliant. Both Jan, the owner and Zoe, our teacher really cared about our development and were both really good teachers. We could not have asked for more! Would recommend to anyone and everyone interested in starting to learn this beautiful language 🙂

For me it’s been great learning Spanish with Farolito. The teachers are so energetic and fun, and are very keen for you to learn. And my classes have always been small which is very helpful. I’ll sign up again soon when the borders to the Spanish-speaking world open!

I have done 3 terms so far, and loving it. Jan makes the classroom so open and really helps you get confident to speak. The classes are small groups so you get a lot of time with the teacher and also practicing with classmates.

The first term in the beginners class with Farolito was excellent. My learning of the language, being present in the classroom, is so much better than online learning. You get to learn alongside other people who are going through the same stuff that you are and can share your experiences immediately. And most importantly, you get an excellent structured approach and weekly homework that makes sure you study between the classes. Our Spanish born teacher brought an awesome amount of energy as well which made the learning engaging and fun. ¡Muy bien! Highly recommended.

I'm so glad I chose Farolito to learn Spanish. Jan is a wonderful teacher. He's kind, patient, funny and won't laugh at you when you can't roll your 'R's. Mirvic is warm, welcoming and so helpful! Together they make the school a really lovely place to learn. If you want to learn Spanish, this is your place! Don't be afraid to try it, even if your starting from scratch (like me). You won't regret it.

Really great and passionate teacher! He teaches us not only Spanish, but the difference between accents from each region, cultural norms in Spain and Latin America, and a lot more valuable insights. The classes are fun and the students are friendly too.

Lovely little Spanish school in South Yarra, great sized classes. Welcoming, fun and relaxed vibe. Tried other Spanish classes in the city and prefer this school by far. Would recommend!

I am loving Farolito Spanish school. I have completed beginners 1, 2, and 3 and am signing up now for beg 4. It helps so much to practice my Spanish in front of other students and try to have conversations with them. It pushes me out of my comfort zone but that is essential for me to gain confidence. Highly recommend.

I’ve loved completing level 1 Spanish at Farolito. The classes are small and interactive. Jan is a great teacher, very knowledgeable in language and also we learn a lot about the difference of language in each Spanish speaking country. I’m looking forward to starting level 2 at Farolito.
