Farolito Learn Spanish Online

Online Spanish Courses and Term 4 Updates

Due to the current pandemic, the Victorian government’s ongoing restrictions, and for the health and safety of our staff and students, Farolito has decided to take all of our Spanish lessons online for the foreseeable future. This includes term 4, which begins on the 5th of October. Our Online Spanish Courses enable you to effectively learn Spanish online with all the charm and expertise our students have come to expect from Farolito. Farolito is committed to continuing to provide our fun, interactive, and high-quality Spanish lessons whether they be online or in person.

Key information to note regarding our COVID-19 response:

  • All term 4 classes will take place online via Zoom.
  • All of our current class options will be offered as online versions, available through the existing class booking setup.
  • Some online classes will continue to be offered past the pandemic to provide a convenient and accessible option for students who would prefer not to come to in-person classes.

How Do Our Online Spanish Classes Work?

Farolito online classes will be held via Zoom call, with links provided to students as they sign up for the relevant courses. You can find the details to enrol into our classes here. The content of the courses will follow the templates of our regular class offerings, which are broken up into four course types. These course types include:

  • Regular Spanish Group Courses: Our basic Spanish lessons held in small groups for an interactive learning experience.
  • Intensive Spanish Group Courses: This intensive Spanish course allows you to learn Spanish at a much quicker, but more intense, pace. Great for those who want to learn Spanish faster, and would still love to learn in a group. These classes are offered twice a year, during our Winter and Summer Intensive terms.
  • Spanish 101 Courses
  • Private Spanish Courses: Private Spanish lessons enable students to learn Spanish alone or with one close friend or family member. Perfect for a more intimate and customized learning experience, these lessons also fit well into busy schedules.

The courses are further broken down into classes based on the level of Spanish proficiency. You can choose your level on the enrol pages. Within the classes, we will be making use of our highly qualified teachers, our supporting materials such as textbooks, and online learning supplement tools such as screen-sharing, breakout rooms, and other online tools to provide you with top-quality Spanish education.

Benefits of Online Spanish Classes

If you have decided you want to learn Spanish, online Spanish classes are still remarkably effective and will provide you with a great learning experience. While the pandemic may have initially triggered our move over to online classes, Farolito stands behind the quality of our online classes and the many benefits they provide to our students. In fact, these many benefits are the reason why Farolito has decided to maintain our online class availability even beyond the pandemic restrictions.

According to our students and teachers, the benefits of online classes include:

  • Accessibility: Online Spanish lessons provide greater accessibility to a whole range of students that may not otherwise be able to attend our classes. While Farolito is located in South Yarra, a convenient travel location in Metropolitan Melbourne, Online Spanish courses broaden this convenience to include those too far away or without the ability or time to attend classes in person.
  • Convenience: Providing our Spanish classes online is also more convenient for a lot of people. As the classes are hosted on Zoom, our students do not have to worry about travel time, getting ready, or being late, and they can study and learn from the comfort of their own homes.
  • Productivity: Many of our students and teachers have noticed an uptick of productivity since the implementation of our online Spanish courses. Having direct access to computers promotes note-taking, and our online sessions reduce distractions for more focused, on-task lessons. Technology such as screen-sharing, breakout rooms, and other integrated online tools have also enriched the learning experience, allowing students to engage and interact freely with the course material and each other.
