I love learning Spanish at Farolito, the classes are relaxed and inviting which creates the perfect environment to learn. My teacher Jan is kind and patient and brings bonus history and culture knowledge to the lessons! Highly recommend 🙂

I'm so glad I chose Farolito to learn Spanish. Jan is a wonderful teacher. He's kind, patient, funny and won't laugh at you when you can't roll your 'R's. Mirvic is warm, welcoming and so helpful! Together they make the school a really lovely place to learn. If you want to learn Spanish, this is your place! Don't be afraid to try it, even if your starting from scratch (like me). You won't regret it.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my first term at Farolito Spanish school. There’s a lot of class participation to practice speaking and listening with the teacher and other students, which is what I wanted out of the classes. Jan is a very patient and knowledgeable teacher, he always has tips and tricks on how to pronounce and remember words, they have been super helpful. Looking forward to another term of aprender español.

For me it’s been great learning Spanish with Farolito. The teachers are so energetic and fun, and are very keen for you to learn. And my classes have always been small which is very helpful. I’ll sign up again soon when the borders to the Spanish-speaking world open!

I've been learning with Faralito now since January and I would highly recommend this school to anyone wanting to learn Spanish. I personally love the face to face classroom learning and the location is very convenient next to South Yarra station. I have completed an intensive 2 week Beginner 2 course and am now in Beginner 3. I will definitely move to the next course and keep learning with Faralito. I really like the small group class format and the teachers are very supportive and creative with their learning techniques as you move through the units in the Aula textbook. So far I've had lessons with Samuel and Hector. Sam is an outstanding teacher who loves grammar and is very skilled at explaining difficult grammar concepts. Hector is very attentive and has set up a WhatsApp group for the class to help with homework and he is responsive out of hours for assistance which is really very helpful. The real effort of course is required by me! As good as the teachers are they can't do it for me and l also have to find other ways to learn and more time to study but Faralito is a great foundation and motivation for me.

I have just loved learning Spanish with Farolito so far. Jan is such an incredibly good teacher – engaging, interesting and great at explaining things. Apart from picking up Spanish way faster than I ever expected I could, I've also enjoyed the 'new creative outlet' outside my 9-5, and meeting new people in my class. I couldn't recommend Farolito highly enough!

Farolito language school is a fantastic environment to learn spanish. The teachers are highly skilled language teachers, helpful and know how to make learning spanish fun. I've been learning for a number of years and am looking forward to now being able to travel to spanish speaking countries and speak with the locals. Whenever I get the chance to speak spanish with native spanish speaking people I make sure I do and I love that I am now able to hold a conversation in spanish. Thanks Jan, I love your classes.

Me and my 3 amigos signed up to get our Spanish up to scratch before a trip to south America. We managed to squeeze in three terms, which have been absolutely brilliant. Both Jan, the owner and Zoe, our teacher really cared about our development and were both really good teachers. We could not have asked for more! Would recommend to anyone and everyone interested in starting to learn this beautiful language 🙂

Lovely little Spanish school in South Yarra, great sized classes. Welcoming, fun and relaxed vibe. Tried other Spanish classes in the city and prefer this school by far. Would recommend!

Ive been studying with Farolito for the past year and it has been wonderful, I love the flexibility of being able to learn with online classes and the teachers are so friendly and easy to communicate with, the groups are small and not intimidating and the teachers are so knowledgeable yet they make the learning fun and engaging. My Tuesday evening face to face Spanish classes are always the highlight of my week! The small class of seven other students is a great environment to learn a new language as I feel comfortable speaking to my classmates one on one and in front of the whole class. Jan is a fantastic teacher who uses his linguistics background to paint a complete picture of the Spanish language from the origins of words to the structure of the sounds. I had been using Apps to learn Spanish online and I realized my Spanish cannot be improved by just studying online as I have no one to practice with and no interactions. Then, I found Farolito, the classes are fun and easy to follow, great teachers here. Contents in the class are just good to follow, which can keep up my interest in Spanish.
