Do you have some previous experience learning Spanish, but you are unsure of your level?

I have thoroughly enjoyed my first term at Farolito Spanish school. There’s a lot of class participation to practice speaking and listening with the teacher and other students, which is what I wanted out of the classes. Jan is a very patient and knowledgeable teacher, he always has tips and tricks on how to pronounce and remember words, they have been super helpful. Looking forward to another term of aprender español.

Starting to learn Spanish at Farolito has been a great experience. The classes are always engaging and interactive (regardless of whether they are online or in-person). Jan's knowledge of languages generally really stands out, and his approach to teaching beginners is first class.

I’m currently more than half way through Beginners 1 with Farolito, and I’m thoroughly enjoying the weekly sessions. Jan is a highly experienced and patient teacher, and our classes have provided a supportive environment for each of us to develop our understanding and use of the Spanish language. I have been with Farolito Spanish school for one term and I recommend this school for anyone trying to learn Spanish. The course is structured clearly and the text book they use is very helpful (across several levels). My groups teacher, Sara, is very friendly and makes you feel comfortable!

Farolito Spanish offers engaging and fun classes for all Spanish levels! The teachers are exceptional, creating varied classwork and homework every week. The varied coursework ensures you develop reading, writing, speaking and listening skills in parallel. The class groups have always been incredibly welcoming and encouraging! I have just loved learning Spanish with Farolito so far. Jan is such an incredibly good teacher – engaging, interesting and great at explaining things. Apart from picking up Spanish way faster than I ever expected I could, I've also enjoyed the 'new creative outlet' outside my 9-5, and meeting new people in my class. I couldn't recommend Farolito highly enough!

The class environment is fun! I feel motivated for every class and Jan is very encouraging as a teacher. Material is very well-prepared and structured with various methods that makes the learning experience engaging.

I am loving Farolito Spanish school. I have completed beginners 1, 2, and 3 and am signing up now for beg 4. It helps so much to practice my Spanish in front of other students and try to have conversations with them. It pushes me out of my comfort zone but that is essential for me to gain confidence. Farolito has given me an excellent start to developing my spanish skills. Each course is well thought out and lessons are engaging and interactive. I've been learning with Faralito now since January and I would highly recommend this school to anyone wanting to learn Spanish. I personally love the face to face classroom learning and the location is very convenient next to South Yarra station. I have completed an intensive 2 week Beginner 2 course and am now in Beginner 3. I will definitely move to the next course and keep learning with Faralito. I really like the small group class format and the teachers are very supportive and creative with their learning techniques as you move through the units in the Aula textbook. So far I've had lessons with Samuel and Hector. Sam is an outstanding teacher who loves grammar and is very skilled at explaining difficult grammar concepts. Hector is very attentive and has set up a WhatsApp group for the class to help with homework and he is responsive out of hours for assistance which is really very helpful. The real effort of course is required by me! As good as the teachers are they can't do it for me and l also have to find other ways to learn and more time to study but Faralito is a great foundation and motivation for me.

Fantastic classes with focus on speaking Spanish, grammar and vocabulary. Jan is an excellent teacher, and Faralito has a friendly and supportive learning environment. I’ll be back for term 2!

Really great and passionate teacher! He teaches us not only Spanish, but the difference between accents from each region, cultural norms in Spain and Latin America, and a lot more valuable insights. The classes are fun and the students are friendly too.

I would highly recommend Farolito for anyone interested or even curious in learning Spanish! I have thoroughly loved attending classes with Jan. The classes are engaging, fun and creative! Even in the first few beginners classes, we were having small conversations in Spanish.

Jan is a great teacher and very knowledgeable and passionate about all things pertaining to languages & culture (not just Spanish). He is always willing to help and has a great positive attitude, I recommend his courses to anybody who wants to learn Spanish.

Learning Spanish at Farolita is fun, challenging and professional.. Plus, Samuel, the teacher in my class teaches Spanish in Spanish! The best way!
